Buzzing doesn't even begin to describe Porto's iconic Rua Galeria de Paris. Lined with delicious restaurants, vibrant bars and some of the city's best clubs, this is the place to be if good food, strong drinks and a lively atmosphere are all on your wishlist. It's also where you'll find this contemporary studio flat, ideal for those longing to be in the heart of the action. Small but stylish, this cheery apartment is an excellent spot to rest your feet after exploring the city. Modern touches mix with Portuguese charm, creating a chilled-out space to unwind and relax. Although the kitchen is compact, we think it's well-suited for rustling up lighter bites – or, for heartier fare, your host can organise catering options ranging from welcome buffets and breakfast deliveries to traditional dinners. That said, our favourite spot is the shared roof terrace. Not only are the panoramas pretty spectacular – it's hard to beat that view of the Clérigos Tower – but tables and chairs invite you to soak up the scenery with a bottle of Porto's famous wine. It's the perfect place to enjoy evening sundowners before heading out for dinner at the eateries on your doorstep. For sightseeing, the options are endless – Clérigos Tower is a six-minute stroll, Cais da Ribeira is sixteen on foot and Porto Cathedral is walkable in twelve. Plus, your host offers tours, boat trips and getaways to Portugal's wine region if you fancy switching things up.
