This appealing space has plenty of prints and plants that come together to create a soothing interior. The cherry on the cake is the lovely view of the hilltop Sacré-Coeur from the kitchen. There is undeniably a romantic flavour to this apartment, making it ideal for couples after a cute space to call home in Paris. The vibrant neighbourhood is packed with excellent cafes, Sri Lankan Tamil restaurants and quirky shops. In spring and summer, bright young things come to picnic, play guitar and bask in the golden evening light by the waterside. While on Sundays, the two streets that run alongside the canal, Quai de Valmy and Quai de Jemmapes, are reserved for pedestrians and cyclists – a perfect opportunity to rent a bike and take in the city from a fresh angle.
