Set just a few minute's drive from the postcard-perfect towns and famous beaches of the Itria Valley – you're never far from the bustle at this newly-renovated Lamia home. Not that you'd know it hunkered down in the private grounds of this villa. Fringed by over two acres of century-old olive groves, the seclusion and privacy are on another level. Made for al fresco living, the entertaining and dining spaces are impressive outside – as is the small spa with a Turkish bath tucked away in a renovated trulli. Inside, the interiors are bang up to date, with en-suite bathrooms for every bedroom. Add in those beautifully restored dry-stone walls and barrel vault ceilings, and you can see why this place caught our eye.

About Ostuni

You’ll probably spot Ostuni long before you reach the so-called White City of Puglia. It rises up on three hills, above the rust-red earth punctuated by olive trees. Shambling, narrow streets lead up the hillside to the crowning 12th-century Ostuni Cathedral. It’s a veritable labyrinth of ancient alleyways, where you can sample traditional Puglian fare like handmade orecchiette and oozing dollops of burrata in terrace restaurants, or taste a Salice...
