For a coastal cottage with every comfort, look no further. This cosy home can be found in Newport, Pembrokeshire, and offers exquisite views of the rugged yet beautiful coast. There’s plenty of room for the whole family, including a twin room upstairs with its own lounge and kitchenette – it’s ideal for teenagers or a couple who want a bit more space. The rest of the home is spread over the ground floor, which has a bright open-plan living space at its heart. Start your day with a hearty breakfast around the dining table while you plan your stay. Make sure you head into Newport on Monday morning to shop at the farmers’ market – you’ll be able to pick up the freshest local produce for your meals. You can also dine at the local pub – which is within walking distance of the cottage. A seven-minute drive will get you to Newport Beach, a dune-backed sandy stretch that you’re sure to love. There’s windsurfing and canoeing for those that don’t mind getting their feet wet, and the beach is lovely for a wind-swept stroll. Of course, you can also stay warm in the cafe with a cuppa while the rest of your group works up an appetite. After a day out in the elements, the cottage is bliss to return to. Sink into a comfortable seat and sip a glass of wine while you take in the breath-taking views from the living room.
