Sweeping views of the Tuscan countryside and rustic interiors are the hallmarks of this traditional farmhouse. We loved the terracotta tiles, chestnut-wood ceiling beams and antique furnishings, not to mention the turret, dating back to the late medieval period. The inviting living space with squashy leather sofas is the perfect place to unwind on cooler days but when the sun’s shining, head outside for meals on the terrace, enveloped in the scent of oleander and rosemary. Spend lazy afternoons dipping in and out of the pool and snoozing on a lounger – or if you’d prefer to explore a little, take a stroll along the bucolic lanes that surround your home. A short drive to the west places you in Montepulciano, a charming town famous for its Vino Nobile red wine. Spot the Punch and Judy figure atop the Torre di Pulcinella before picking out a quaint cafe for a refreshing beverage and a bite to eat.
