When you’re ready to venture out for some sightseeing, walk fifteen minutes to discover the Sassi di Matera Unesco World Heritage Site and visit the ​​Palombaro lungo, a subterranean cistern known as the “Cathedral of Water”, a ten-minute stroll away.
