Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This gem in Salamanca’s upscale Goya neighbourhood is perfect for a group of friends or family. This free-flowing space is perfect for hosting and socialising – spend days with your cohort gathered around the sleek kitchen island, whipping up tapas dinners and sipping pitchers of sangria together. Spin vinyl on the record player, light some candles, and then cosy up together around the wooden dining table for a memorable feast with your loved ones. The sumptuously natural designs and modern furnishings create a relaxed ambience here – we particularly love the light-filled living room with its metal wall pieces that outline tropical plants, the textured throws and modular linen sofa where we imagine you’ll spend evenings curled up with a Netflix movie. Speaking of cosy, with a pair of neutral-hued bedrooms swathed in soothing earthy palettes and Macramé textiles, you’ll have no trouble getting a restful night’s sleep. Salamanca’s high-end boutiques offer the perfect excuse for some sartorial browsing, though if you're hoping to see Goya's famous works, enjoy a walk through El Retiro Park to reach the Prado Museum – that way, you can tick both off your list in one swing. Enjoy a culinary affair at a family-owned tapas restaurant for padron peppers and gambas al ajillo, then stop in at a local bar for a vermouth on the rocks during aperitif hour.

Local guide

About Salamanca

Salamanca is Madrid’s most glamorous and prestigious quarter. Usually associated with aristocratic façades, wide avenues, and luxurious living (atypical for Madrid’s cosy centre), the neighbourhood attracts domestic and international elite. It’s also home to many embassies and private schools, as well as niche museums and designer boutiques along its ‘Golden Mile’. The demanding clientele has made the food scene equally exclusive, but while you’re likely to find quite a few Michelin-star restaurants in the area, there are lots of relaxed tapas bars for those less willing to splash the cash.
