This simple Madrid apartment in Opañel isn't winning any design awards and you'll be sleeping on a raisable bed, but it has everything needed for an extended stay – we think it's ideal for remote workers. The area is local in feel and certainly isn't glamorous, but it does offer a slice of life if you prefer to be far away from touristy spaces. That said, Urgel Station is a short walk away – from here, you can be in the centre of Madrid in less than twenty minutes.
