If you're going to stay in a penthouse apartment in any part of London, you might as well make it somewhere with an uninterrupted view of one of the city's biggest parks and the distant rooftops of West End – much like the one that can be enjoyed at this address. Whether you're out on the large terrace or dining inside by the large windows, the scenery is remarkably peaceful for the UK's capital. However, it's not just what's happening outside the four walls that make this home special. There's something effortlessly chic about the interior design, with simple white walls working well with the copious amount of natural light from the skylight and large glass doors, plus a relatively restrained taste in furnishings and finishes – save for a few chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and a welcomingly lavish clawfoot bathtub. When it comes to cultural distractions nearby, you're truly spoilt for choice. Ten minutes' walk due north will take you to Serpentine Gallery and a similar amount of time in the opposite direction will take you to the V&A. The Royal Albert Hall is only five minutes away on foot in case you fancy catching a live concert.

About Kensington
Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
