Although London is a city that's no stranger to change, the neighbourhood of Stratford has undergone a huge transformation over the past couple of decades, helped in part by a certain international sporting competition paying a visit for a fortnight back in 2012. This has meant a plethora of new homes being built, including this one. Spread across three floors, the design is contemporary with a side-order of quirkiness in the shape of colourful artwork and eye-catching lighting. We're particularly fond of the minimalist white corner kitchen, which has a wealth of surface space should you be in the mood for a night off the local restaurants, while the fact that there's not just one, but two outdoor spaces – a garden and rooftop terrace – is especially welcome. A visit to the area wouldn't be complete without a stroll around the neighbouring Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, which has plenty of sports facilities to make use of, as well as canalside paths to wander. Those fond of a little retail therapy will love the Westfield shopping centre all of ten minutes' walk away, while all the thrills of central London are only three-quarters of an hour away on the tube.
