From here, you're just a few minutes walk from the capital's cultural hotspots, including the Wellcome Collection and The British Library. When it comes to transport, options are aplenty from here, with the mainline King’s Cross St. Pancras stations on your doorstep. While the home itself isn't the most soulful, it’s perfectly practical, with a fully-equipped kitchen and a sociable living room that leads onto a balcony. Plus, the sofa bed will accommodate your fourth and fifth guests.

About Somers Town
Wedged between Euston, King's Cross St Pancras and Camden Town, Somers Town is a rare pocket of central London that has managed to retain a genuinely authentic, unpretentious community feel to it. Many Londoners won't even have heard of it but it's a great base if you want to stay in central London without a huge pricetag and there are some great old boozers (The Cock Tavern is our favourite) whose decor and clientele haven't changed a jot for decades. Given its location, it's incredible how few tourists you'll find in these secret back street pubs.
