Set in the rolling hills nearby the ancient village of Riparbella – known for its surrounding untouched countryside – this mansion is the epitome of rustic Tuscan chic. Stroll through acres of olive and fruit trees, before taking a cooling dip in one of the two terracotta pools – both of which offer incredible views of those stunning hills.

When you’re done, dine alfresco on one of the various terraces, perhaps grilling up a Florentina steak on the stone barbecue. Indoors, you can dine, languish and sleep underneath swooping beamed ceilings and cosy brick arches.

And if you can tear yourself away from this enclosed sanctuary, there’s plenty to do in the nearby area. Witness sunsets on the sandy beach Spiaggia Le Gorette, just under twenty minutes away by car. Foodies will also enjoy the range of authentic Italian restaurants within the same distance – making for an excellent opportunity to sample the local cuisine. Speaking of local delights, some of the biggest vineyards in the entirety of Tuscany are under a half an hour's drive away.
