Occasionally, we come across a place that lacks the flash of some of the fancier places in town, but more than makes up for it with its sheer homeliness. Antelope Point is one such place. It’s not huge, but it’s more than enough, and it has that hard-to-articulate quality that can make such a difference to your stay. We simply felt at ease, as soon as we arrived. So many things go into that, from Stefano’s welcome to the simple, yet inviting design, to the calm street the building’s on. And despite the calm, it’s still only five or ten minutes on foot to reach Alfama and Graça.
