Wood panelled ceilings, tartan check wallpaper, and modern riffs on the classic reindeer head wall hanging create the Pyrenean atmosphere, while leather foot stools, a statement chain link light fixture, and Keith Haring cushions inject that New York cool. This would be perfect for a family of four or five – the main bedroom has an en suite, while there’s a pull out bed in the second room so three kids can bunk up together. Both bedrooms have doors leading out onto the balcony, where you can admire the view of the snow capped mountains. Set in the heart of the Baqueira-Beret ski resort, you’ll be provided with a ski locker that’s a short walk through the apartment complex, where you can hop on the ski lifts taking you to the slopes. When you’ve had your fill of the piste, there’s a lively apres-ski scene, and some excellent restaurants with a Spanish-French twist within easy walking distance of the apartment. In summer months there are beautiful hiking trails to follow, or rent out mountain bikes to explore the rugged landscape. Arties is seven kilometres away, where you’ll find an eleventh century church, some delightful family run restaurants, and postcard-perfect scenery. After the day’s adventure, enjoy a mug of hot cocoa together before settling down in front of the fire for a well-deserved movie. You'll have access to a shared garden and be provided with a free parking space near your ski locker.
