Area
Gorteen is a small village resting within east County Sligo, just 19 miles away from Carrick-on-Shannon. Within the town you will find a a choice of pubs with great Irish music to discover, as well as Coleman Irish Music Centre. Within the surrounding area you will find Moygara Castle, which overlooks Lough Gara and a number of lakes which play host to opportunities for watersports.

The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.
