Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Part of a 13th-century estate-turned-resort, this apartment makes the most of its scenic location in Chianti. Alongside a private terrace, you'll have access to a communal hilltop swimming pool, shared laundry room, and walking trails through the nearby vineyards. The design is definitely traditional, but we're fond of the rustic character – in fact, anything more contemporary would feel out of place in this storybook setting. Speaking of location, pack comfortable shoes. Not only is the apartment set over two levels, but the hilly environment means you'll do lots of climbing. A car is also a must since villages like Gaiole, Radda, and Castelnuovo Beredenga are within driving distance.

Home truths

This apartment is on an estate with other homes. It's set on a hill, so expect to climb quite a lot of steps.

The washing machine is in a communal laundry room.

The traditional design may not suit everyone. Although it feels dated in parts, we think it has character.

You'll have access to the swimming pool here, which is shared with other guests. It's only available to use from the end of May to September.

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a free cot and high chair on request.

Due to the remote location, we highly suggest hiring a car. There's on-site parking here, but please note the final stretch of the road is narrow and has a steep incline. The nearest shops are in San Gusme, 12 kilometres away.

Join the crowds in July and August when Siena’s famous Palio horserace thunders around the Piazza del Campo, or visit outside of the peak summer months for a calmer experience. Siena, rich in tradition, is also a great spot...
