Renovated in 2014, this traditional chalet has been filled with so many rustic but luxury touches, you might be distracted from the business of hitting the slopes of nearby Nendaz. We suggest exploring, however, as on your return a deep standalone bath and the home's private sauna are there to take away any aches and pains. Whether you're visiting in summer or winter, dining tables have been positioned to soak up the Alpine views, through double-height glass windows indoors or on the home's long balcony outdoors. There's room for the whole party to sit and feast on raclette, fondue and barbecued delights. Bedrooms are snug and Swiss, with their sloping beamed ceilings and wooden walls – though the addition of skylights and French doors flood the space with sunshine. For cooler days, there's plenty of room in the living area – light the Scandinavian wood-burner and watch the sun set over the mountains.

*There is reserved parking for two cars in the garage (no larger than 210cm x 250cm) – in winter we recommend fitting snow chains to your car
*There is a steep narrow path leading to the home, so be careful on approach
*The gondola to the slopes is a ten-minute walk, or can be reached on a ski shuttle
*There is a local tax of 3.50 Swiss francs (adults) and 1.75 Swiss francs (6-15 yr olds) per person per day, payable to the resort
