Jutland’s wild landscapes stretch from dramatic fjords, to breezy bays, and rolling farmlands. Only five minutes from Blåvand, this home lets you experience all the joys of the natural world, as well as peaceful regions where magical lighthouses and pristine beaches are the talk of the town. Built in the 70s, this wooden home oozes Danish tradition from the offset. We love the thick forests surrounding the garden, with its decking and a chimney creating a quintessential woodland home scene. With over half an acre to explore, you might stray far from the house, but you’ll always want to return in the evening for a barbecue of grilled, local fish and a glass of mjød. For hygge interiors, you’ll love the wooden planks that make up the walls and ceilings, with chunky timber beams propping everything up. This rustic, lodge vibe is topped off with a wood-burning stove, a colourful woven rug, and cushy leather sofas where you can cosy up to watch a Scandi crime drama. The rural cabin atmosphere continues into the bedrooms – when the windows in your pine walls look out to views of woodlands and greenery, you know that a restful night lies ahead.
