Situated in Egmond aan Zee, a village on the North Sea coast, this modern villa is the perfect place to get away from it all. Inside, it’s bright and inviting – we loved the neutral colour palette with pops of turquoise and the sumptuous soft furnishings that make the place feel just like home. Chop, season and cook in the fully-equipped kitchen then take your plates outside to dine on the terrace in the dunes. On warm afternoons, hire bicycles and take the five-minute ride to Egmond aan Zee Beach –the J.C.J. van Speijk Lighthouse is a must-see in the area. Or why not head up to Bergen, a spot favoured by artists for its peace, quiet and wide-open spaces. Check out The Obsession of Art gallery and the Museum Kranenburgh – both are no more than a fifteen-minute drive away. And at the end of another exciting day in North Holland, head back to your pad for a serious pamper session in the sauna and a blissful night's sleep in the comfortable beds.
