Perched in a hillside village above the eastern shore of Lake Garda, this apartment earns its position – the rooftop terrace looks out across the lake and the Alps, and it's the kind of view you'll linger over long past sunset. Both bedrooms open directly onto a private garden at ground level, so there's an easy sense of inside-out living. A shaded alfresco dining area in the garden makes it a natural spot for lazy lunches, and the communal pool set among greenery is there when the afternoon heat calls for it.

Home truths:
* The sleeping area is on the lower floor, reached via an internal staircase from the living room – so you'll be moving between levels each time you head to bed or back up to the main living and dining space.
* The shared pool is only open between 1st June and 20th September, so if you're visiting outside those months you won't have access to it.
* Well-behaved pets are welcome here, though breed restrictions are in place.
* This home isn't suitable for groups where groups of guests under 25 years old.
