Turtle & Tide

A private path leads straight to Grace Bay Beach from this tucked-away cottage in Turtle Cove – close enough to feel the pull of the water, but set one lot back for a level of seclusion that beachfront places rarely offer. The freshwater pool opens directly off the main bedroom via French doors, making a morning swim effortless. When shade is the priority, a raised gazebo and a thatched hammock give you options. Restaurants at Turtle Cove Marina are an easy walk away, and Smith's Reef – one of the island's top snorkelling spots – is right on your doorstep.

Home truths:
* While you can walk to the amenities in Turtle Cove Marina, Grace Bay's main strip of shops and restaurants is about a five-minute drive, and the Taylor Bay area is around a ten-minute drive, so we recommend renting a car to get the most out of your stay.
* A starter supply of paper products is included but won't be replenished during your stay, so it's worth picking up extras on arrival. Portable beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler are typically available but aren't guaranteed – worth confirming with your host before you arrive.
* Housekeeping services are provided once mid-week for bookings of 7 nights or more.
