Perched in West Sedona with red rock views from nearly every room, this home is built around the landscape rather than just placed in it. The elevated deck is where you'll want to be at dusk, gathered around the fire pit as the hills shift colour in the fading light. Inside, the main suite leans into the setting – a marble-clad bathroom with a jetted soaking tub and views over the desert makes winding down feel effortless. The Airport Loop Trail is just a short drive away, so early morning hikes are easy to build into the day before the heat sets in.

Home truths:
* Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's parking for two cars in the garage and two in the driveway.
* At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on a single bed and a pull-out single in a snug adjacent to the living space. This bed can be converted into a king – let your host know before arrival if you'd prefer that configuration.
* There are four security cameras on the exterior of the home – covering the front deck, driveway, back patio, and inside the garage.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair at no additional cost. You'll need to request them in advance.
* A starter pack of essentials – including toilet paper, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, shampoo, conditioner, and basic condiments – is provided on arrival. You'll need to pick up anything extra during your stay.
