Whether you're cooling off in the private pool or dining alfresco on the terrace, the tree-studded, lavender-laden backdrop feels perfectly Provençal. Inside, traditional charm merges with contemporary details to create a cosy home-from-home. With the option for two children to sleep on bunk beds in the fourth bedroom, we think it suits families down to the ground – just note that only three bedrooms have air conditioning. Location-wise, Avignon and Aix-en-Provence are both an hour or so by car, making them ideal options for day trips.
