The living space is warm and well-styled – somewhere you'd want to return to after a long day on foot – while the serene bedroom offers a real sense of rest amid all that city energy. Piazza Navona is a five-minute stroll away, and the Pantheon not much further, so all the city highlights are on the doorstep.

* The apartment is on the first floor with no lift, so you'll be carrying luggage up the stairs on arrival and departure.
* The apartment sits on a lively alley close to Campo de' Fiori, so expect some street noise, particularly in the evenings. If you're a light sleeper, it's worth packing earplugs.
