Ledru-Rollin metro station is a one-minute walk, and Place de la Bastille is five minutes on foot, so the city opens up quickly in every direction. Back inside, the living space is bright and calm – a good place to decompress after a long day out – and the bedroom keeps things quiet when you need a rest.

* At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area. At 30m², this is a compact apartment with only one bathroom, so it works best for those who don't mind a cosy setup.
* The apartment is on the second floor and there is no lift.
* The Charonne and Faubourg Saint-Antoine area is lively in the evenings – bars and restaurants close by can make it busier and noisier after dark, so it's worth bearing in mind if you're a light sleeper.
* Parking in Paris can be challenging, so we recommend leaning on the excellent public transport links here rather than bringing a car.
