Sitting directly on the sand in Newport Beach, this house gives you the Pacific as a constant backdrop – from the open ground-floor patio where you can barbecue while watching the waves, to the living room where the ocean light shifts through the afternoon. The main bedroom has its own balcony above the water, and the rooftop deck takes things further still, with a hot tub and fireplace for watching the sun drop toward the horizon. Balboa Island is about thirteen-minutes by car when you want a change of scene.

* The home spans three levels, with the rooftop deck and game room at the top, the main living area and kitchen in the middle, and the beachfront patio at ground level – you'll be moving between floors a lot during the day.
* There's a two-car garage on site, so you won't need to worry about street parking.
