The Eucalyptus House

Tucked into the Hollywood Hills, this sun-washed California house arrives with a Spanish Colonial exterior and hand-painted tile steps that hint at the warmth inside. The vaulted living room draws you in around the fire, while outside, a deck sheltered by eucalyptus trees and a string-lit terrace make evenings under the canyon canopy hard to leave. The main bedroom catches dappled morning light through wide windows, and a dedicated playroom means the whole family is catered for. The Hollywood Sign, Sunset Strip, and the trails of the Hollywood Hills are all close at hand when you're ready to explore.

Home truths:
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot, high chair, and changing table. Request these ahead of your arrival so everything is ready when you get there.
* You're set in a quiet, tree-lined canyon neighbourhood that feels like a retreat from the city, yet West Hollywood and Los Feliz are a short drive away. For the best of both, we recommend having a car for the duration of your stay.
* The driveway is tight and best suited to a small or mid-size car. If you're arriving in a larger SUV or estate, free street parking is available just a short walk away.
* Well-behaved pets are welcome to join you upon request, but must be kept off of all furniture and beds during your stay.
* You'll need to be able to manage stairs here – it may not suit guests with reduced mobility.
