The location does the rest: Whitechapel Station and Aldgate East are both within a ten-minute walk, and Brick Lane, Spitalfields Market, and Tower Bridge are all reachable on foot in around twenty minutes.

* There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb two flights of stairs to reach the entrance of the home, and there are stairs inside the apartment too. It might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.
* Your host can provide a cot for little ones upon request – just bring your own mattress and cot linen.
* There's no air conditioning here. In warmer months you'll find fans in every room, and opening the windows in the evening helps keep things cool.
