Return & Retreat

Only seven minutes away from the old Carmo Convent and the Praça do Comércio, you'll find this inviting apartment sitting in beautiful Baixa. Get your bearings on the city with a bird's eye view when you ascend the Elevador de Santa Justa, two minutes from your front door. Surrounded by seafood restaurants and historical hotspots, here you'll be staying in Lisbon's cultural heart – but Rossio station lies just up the road, so you can explore even further.

It's clear to see that this home hands you a break from traditional architecture. Ideal for solo travellers and couples alike, you'll wake up in an intimate bedroom encased in modern glass walls. Open your curtains to reveal a warm-wooded living area, perfect for lazy lounging with a cup of coffee in hand. Then, after some sightseeing, why not try making francesinha in the kitchen before snuggling up on the sofa? Or, from your Juliet balcony, you can soak up a romantic sunset.

Home truths:
*This home is located on a floor with no lift
*You'll need to bring your own toiletries with you to use during your stay
*Storage space is minimal here, so we'd recommend packing light
*While the home can sleep up to four people, the maximum occupancy is two guests
*We think the kitchen is better suited to lighter bites than large meals
*This home is in a central spot, so noise is to be expected – light sleepers may want to pack earplugs
*Parking in Lisbon can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible – though we think the best way to see the city is on foot
