Description Playa Bonita Sunset: Las Terrenas

Sitting directly on Playa Bonita – one of the most celebrated stretches of beach in the Las Terrenas area – this villa is as close to the Caribbean as you can get without getting your feet wet. The swim-up bedroom is a rare touch, and the outdoor spaces shift easily from lazy afternoons by the pool to long alfresco dinners in the warm evening air. When you're ready to explore, Samaná Bay offers humpback whale watching in winter, and the dense tropical jungle of the peninsula is within reach.

Home truths:
* While some bedrooms and bathrooms aren't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot, high chair, and baby bath. It's worth requesting these in advance to make sure everything is ready on arrival.
