Back on the estate, a treehouse sits amid the lawns, Kualoa Ranch is a twenty-three-minute drive, and the Polynesian Cultural Centre is close enough for an afternoon out.

* You'll need a car here – the surrounding area requires driving to reach most amenities, restaurants, and attractions beyond the beach. Parking is available.
* The home is a post-and-pier build, so you'll need to climb steps to reach the front door. If you have guests with limited mobility, it's worth factoring this in when booking.
* Two horses live on the grounds – they're part of what makes this estate special, but please don't feed them during your stay.
