Perched on Fort Lauderdale's Intracoastal Waterway, this house hands you a front-row seat to one of South Florida's great spectacles – speedboats and luxury yachts drifting past while you float in the heated pool or eat dinner with the waterway framed behind the glass. The main bedroom wakes you to the same view, and the terrace beneath the string lights is a natural place to end the evening. Fort Lauderdale Beach is a five-minute walk away, and the host even provides a beach wagon, chairs, and umbrellas so you can head straight there.

Home truths:
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a pack-n-play travel cot, high chair, pushchair, and baby bath upon request.
* If you plan to bring a boat or jet ski, contact your host before booking with details of your vessel – dock use is granted on a case-by-case basis and requires a signed waiver on arrival. There is no lift at the dock.
* While you can walk to the beach from here, we recommend hiring a car to explore more easily. There's parking on the premises for up to three cars.
* The lead guest must be at least 25 years old.
