Perched on the edge of a whitewashed Andalusian village, this villa looks out over terracotta rooftops to the forested hillsides of a nearby national park – a view you can take in from the covered terrace or while drifting in the infinity pool's built-in seating ledge. French doors open the living and dining space directly onto those terraces, so the line between inside and out almost disappears. The village square and nearest restaurant are both a short stroll down the lane, making it easy to slip into the unhurried rhythm of El Gastor.
Home truths:
* The railing gaps around the pool terrace are larger than usual, so young children will need close supervision when outside.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. It's worth requesting these in advance of your arrival.
* There is a ground-floor bedroom, but no shower on this level, so the home may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
