Lake views from the living room balcony, eucalyptus trees rustling in the breeze, and a shared pool on the terrace below – this house between Comporta and Tróia is a peaceful retreat. The main suite has its own balcony looking over the water, while a second balcony off the kitchen is ideal for slow mornings with coffee. The beach is a ten-minute walk, and beyond it you have the Tróia dunes, Comporta's rice fields, and the sweeping Atlantic coastline of the Setúbal Peninsula to explore at your own pace.

Home truths:
* The villa is on the first floor and only accessible by stairs – there's no lift in the building. If you have reduced mobility or are travelling with very young children and a buggy, it's worth bearing that in mind before booking.
* The pool here is shared with other residents of the condominium, so it won't be exclusively yours during your stay.
* You'll need a car to make the most of the area – the nearest shops and restaurants aren't within easy walking distance from the condominium. There is one reserved parking space inside the condominium included with the home.
* The second bedroom has a king-size bed that can be configured as two single beds – let your host know before arrival if you'd prefer that setup.
