A professional-grade range makes the kitchen worth using seriously, and alfresco dining on the deck with the barbecue going feels like the natural end to a day here. Ski resorts, hiking trails, and beaches are all within a fifteen-minute drive, while Patton Beach is just over a mile away on foot.

Home truths:
* There's no air conditioning here – the home relies on central heating and fans provided in each bedroom. If you're visiting in summer, plan accordingly.
* You'll need a car to make the most of the area. There are three driveway parking spaces, and a drive of under fifteen minutes reaches beaches, ski resorts, and shops.
* If you're visiting in winter, be prepared for snow driving conditions – four-wheel drive or snow chains may be necessary to reach the home safely.
* The deck seating and gas grill are seasonal – available in summer only, so if you're visiting outside that window, alfresco dining won't be an option.
* You'll need to be able to manage stairs here – it may not suit guests with reduced mobility.
* While the third bathroom isn't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
