The garden is generous, with a lawn, a children's play area, and a light-filled living room that looks out over it all. When you do venture out, the sandy beach at Gallina and the Cavagrande del Cassibile nature reserve are close by, and the Baroque towns of Noto, Syracuse, Modica, and Ragusa are all within reach.

* The accommodation here is spread across the main house and a separate one-bedroom annexe that is handy for teenagers or guests who'd like a little more privacy from the group.
* For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. You'll need to request them in advance.
* The swimming pool is only available for use between 1st April and 30th November.
