The main bedroom opens onto two balconies overlooking Calle Patrocinio, while the living area is a relaxed spot for evenings in. When the sun comes out, the communal rooftop terrace – kitted out with sun loungers and seating – is where you'll want to be, with open Cádiz skies overhead and no real reason to rush anywhere.

* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. It's worth requesting these before you arrive to make sure everything is ready.
* The rooftop terrace is shared with other guests in the building, so it may not always be available exclusively to you.
* You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
