The nerve centre of the Catalan capital, Plaça Catalunya, is right around the corner, and the atmospheric streets of the Gothic Quarter are just a stroll away. If we were being picky, this isn’t the most characterful of homes, and the second bedroom is pocket-sized. But if you’re looking for a fuss-free, central bolthole, you’re onto a winner. The two bathrooms are handy to speed your mornings along, and the small balcony with views of the city's rooftops is a bonus. Most impressive at night when the lights of Barcelona spark on.
