Inside, original stonework in the bedrooms adds warmth, while panoramic windows in the living and dining area draw in light and frame views across the Mediterranean, ideal for watching the sun dip into the sea. Playa de Muro's white sands and turquoise water are an eighteen-minute drive away, and restaurants are roughly 650 m from the door – close enough to be convenient, far enough that you'll feel like you've properly escaped.

Home truths:
* You'll want a car here. The villa sits in a quiet residential area, and while restaurants are a short walk away, Alcúdia town centre, the beach, and most activities require a short drive.
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. You'll need to request them in advance.
* There is only one en-suite bathroom in the villa, with a second bathroom in the communal areas – so three of the four bedrooms share a single bathroom with a WC and shower. Worth factoring in if you're travelling as a full group of six.
* While the home can sleep up to eight people, the maximum occupancy is six guests.
* For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
* Hen and stag parties are strictly not allowed at this home.
* The swimming pool isn't fenced.
